• Yes, the Sonos Connect does not have an amplifier built in to connect speakers. If you need an amp, you could use the Sonos Connect: Amp or the new Sonos Amp.

• SONOS CONNECT is not an amplifier, so you will need to connect your SONOS CONNECT to your receiver. The speakers connected to the receiver will play your SONOS CONNECT music. So to be clear, you can look at your SONOS CONNECT as you would hooking up a CD player. It connects via an input on your receiver the same way, and once its connected, it's a source.

• Buy a Sonos unit that has its own amp.

• Sonos make two units that have an amp built in. If you just purchase the connect you would need an amp. I would recommend the units with the amp built in make control easer.
