A:AnswerI have play 1’s installed in this same manner underneath a patio cover in Las Vegas. They are subjected to the heat and the cold but work great. Have had no issues with leaving them outside.
A:AnswerThe only way you can connect this speaker to play the same thing as the other speakers is if you have two of them and it is set up as your rear speakers. This is how I have my system set up and love it. The sound is amazing with two of these as the rear speakers.
A:AnswerThe Sonos Five is the newer generation that replaced the older Play:5 Gen 2. Sonos simplified the naming when they released it, but internally it is considered the successor to the Play:5 (Gen 2) with updated internals and S2 support.
A:AnswerThe Sonos five does have a wired line input but you wouldn’t be able to input an amplified signal to them since they have built in amplifiers on board the signal input would have to be un-amplified.
A:AnswerI have two sonos 5 speakers with an Arc/sub. I added the two 5s as part of the souround sound setup and I am able to control volume on all speakers through the phone app or through the touch controls.
A:AnswerHi, and thanks for your questions. No, the Five would not be compatible with the wifi receiver. However we do have the Sonos Port if you'd like to make that receiver work with Sonos.

As far as the Google Hub, we can integrate with that. You could tell it to play "x" in the Living room and your speaker named Living Room will start playing music.
A:AnswerThe Five has its own built in amplifiers that power each speaker inside. Remember this speaker can be used to stream music on its own and does not require to be hooked into a amp. In order to get the 5 to play with other non-Sonos speakers would require the Port to be hooked into amplifier…
A:AnswerSo long as they're all on the same network (Wired, Wi-Fi or Sonosnet) they will all show up in the Sonos app. They can be grouped together to play the same thing in perfect sync or they can play separate things at the same time. The One and One SL have a quite a few wall mount options from various manufacturers. I've not seen a wall mount specifically for the Five, but a quick Google search tells me they exist.
Good luck! And welcome to the Sonos addiction!
