Yes it is compatible with S2. It does not have any audio inputs or Bluetooth for connecting devices. Sonos does make a device called Port that says it does what you want but that is an expensive way. Would be cheaper to buy an iPad with enough space to store your songs. Since Sonos also uses Airplay you could see if someone makes a device to connect a CD player to that will output Airplay.

Yes is works with S2. If you want to play CD's you do. We would recommend doing that with Sonos Port of Five. If not Cd's then no CD player needed. Stream from your favorite streaming service(s)
