Personal choice. Trueplay will help them sound like they are filling a room
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If they are being used as rear channel speakers for a home theater soundbar they would need to be behind you and to the left and right. If you are setting the speaker up separately to listen to content you can place it anywhere in the room! You will be prompted to use Trueplay to tune the speaker to the room which will correct for nearly anywhere you put it in your room!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use my Sonos SL as surrounds for the Beam. As of right now, I have them equivalent to my headboard. When I can have them installed, they will be on the wall or stand still equivalent to where my bed's headboard is located. My set up would be similar to if I used them in my living room, they would be behind me.
