Are the new Sonos sl any different and better than the play 1 and if so what’s the difference null

As far as sound quality: the Sonos One SL is virtually identical to the Sonos One and also very similar to the original Play:1. The main difference between the Play:1 and the Sonos One SL is that the One SL has AirPlay 2 capabilities. AirPlay 2 allows you to stream music directly from your iPhone, iPad or Mac.

The size and sound of the Play 1 and Sonos SL are almost identical. There are some minor cosmetic differences and the SL supports Apple AirPlay 2, which is the biggest difference for me between, the two.

The Sonos SLs sound better than the Play 1 units. It’s an upgrade without the assistant (Alexa).

Only difference is that the One has voice command while the SL does not

I heard them both really couldn’t tell the sound difference but the Sonos sl you can stream music thru the ones you cant
