“Can I connect the Sony Sound Bar using a optical line in to a Sony Receiver? The Receiver is a couple of years old. This way I can still use my receiver using HDMI connections back out to TV, DVD and turntable. Thanks.”

Hi ConnectingToSonyReceiver, No, both of them has Optical IN, so connecting them using an optical cable is not possible. Thanks! ^Ron
