• In addition to Optical Audio and HDMI, the HTXT1 also supports stereo auxiliary (like the RCA jacks from older TVs)

• It does do video pass through, so you could connect the video source to the Sony and then use the hdmi out to go to the TV. It has 3 HDMI inputs.

• yes....it has ports for standard cable hook-up as well.
