Hi RICH, Thank you for your question. Yes, you can use HDMI if your video card supports HDMI. There is also a display port you can use which your video card should support also. Keep in mind display port is only for video not audio. -Ralph

I use an Alienware laptop and it works. BUT I do not recommend this monitor as its awful. constant disconnection (searches for signal with and goes into a black screen, doesnt output the full 144hz, and even with an expensive hdmi 2.1 cable it still had these problems, and don't forget about the constant color washing making it look like a front row seat to Citizen Kane with how monochrome the colors appear)
