These speakers can be added to any set up with any brand or model of other speakers. However they are designed to be used in a Dolby Atmos setup. They fire the sound to the ceiling. If your receiver does not do Dolby Atmos you won’t get the effect.

If your amplifier/receiver supports an impedance rating of 6 ohms and standard speaker wire connections, then it can be used with your JBL speakers. And to confirm the compatibility, please check with your device manufacturers information. I hope this helps! The SS-CSE’s compact profile makes it ideal to discreetly install on your existing speakers and walls. Whether you’re looking to upgrade to cinematic Dolby Atmos sound or simply extend your current surround experience, this versatile speaker will give you an all-encompassing aural upgrade. Regards, Sam

I believe you can use them but you will need a dolby atmos receiver box in order to use it and that would work if i am not mistaken. I hope this is useful.

I think these Atmos speakers have done more to make the sound smooth, open and clear than anything I could have done. I also have the Sony subwoofers. Of course you need to experiment with speaker placement in your listening room for best sound. I honestly don't think spending a lot more would produce noticely better sound. My setup is not a home theater and I listen mostly to classical and 50s/60s jazz. After many years of fiddling with audio equipment I think quality of sound source and room acoustics matter more than price of equipment. Things such as wildly expensive cables and such are just a silly scam. I think having your hearing checked is probably the first step to good listening and sensible choice of equipment. My hearing is very good.
