Guess it depends on your preference. Plasmas have a wider viewing angle and deeper dark colors and faster picture adjustment between colors, brightness and scenes. LEDs tend to cost less, have a brighter picture and display lighter colors more brightly while using less power.

It really doesn't matter since most manufacturers don't make plasma TV's anymore. Plasma TV's are not going to be sold anymore. However Pioneer Kuro plasma TV's from almost 10 years ago have some of the best picture on any tv even now. you can find them on amazon and ebay but they are extremely expensive. some can go for $5k to even $10k.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Honestly at this point it's irrelevant. Plasma was pretty much discontinued a few years ago. Both technologies have pluses and minuses. LCD doesn't suffer from burn in or uneven wear while plasma does. LCD uses less power too. Plasma should normally be able to do darker blacks though. It sounds like plasma got dumped as they just couldn't make them cheaply enough, and then weren't able to easily get them to 4K resolution.
