Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It is a year warranty. I've had my eye on this TV for several months. You could add a Geek Squad plan if you feel the need for peace of mind. While I have been very happy with Geek Squad protection over the years, I have never found a need for it on TVs. You mentioned you purchased a Vizio, that brand is generally considered to be on the lower end of the quality spectrum. Sony is definitely on the higher end along with LG and Samsung. For example, I have a Samsung 720p I purchased many many years ago and have had no problems. I've also had no problems with an LG I bought about three years ago. I doubt you will have issues with this Sony for some time come. Hope that helped you!
