Thank you for contacting Sony, James. You can definitely connect your BRAVIA 5 to your Bose 3-2-1 system using a Digital Optical Audio Cable. Since that Bose system was designed before modern HDMI ARC standards, the optical connection is the best way to get audio from your new TV to your classic speakers.
