Yes, this is adjustable at home, very easily. The OLED technology is superb at eliminating the “crushing” of black. I have always disliked store demo settings, most are about brightness, and an natural color settings. When possible, compare only exact demos in side by side situations, in the store.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can try to calibrate your Brightness setting in concert with your Contrast settings. I don't recall but I believe there was something along the lines of black satruation in one of the sub folders (Advance Setting?). Regardless I spent time with Brightness and Contrast settings. Record something that will have the color situation you are attempting to address and play, rewind, etc. and work between the settings to get it to where it would be best. I had to work my calibrations over and over again...and I took notes so I could go back and adjust the various parameters to get it to where I wanted. Sometimes the blacks would just be too black and I had to adjust to give a little detail...the black saturation is something that is a inherent to the OLED with Sony...but again I needed to recalibrate to get it to my satisfaction.
