There is a remote control light receiving sensor and an ambient light sensor near the center bottom of the TV screen. The IR IN connects to the IR out terminal of the home controller. This jack is for receiving the external control signal. Additional information: • This TV doesn't require an IR Blaster cable. Google TV models allow control without an IR Blaster, utilizing IR control from the TV remote and can control the set-top box without an IR Blaster cable connected. • The supplied remote control of the X80K and X85K (RMF-TX800U) models uses both infrared (IR) and Bluetooth communication. By turning off your Bluetooth, the remote control automatically switches to IR mode and will take over priority when it comes to navigating the television with the remote. Guidelines for IR Remote Control: • Point your remote control directly at the IR sensor located on your TV • Placing something in front of the TV, such as a sound bar, can block the sensors and prevent them from working properly. Keep the remote control sensor area clear from obstacles. For more information about the location of the IR sensor on your TV, refer to page 6 of the instruction manual on our Sony Support website. Unfortunately, due to the current Best Buy phishing protocol for your protection, we cannot provide a direct link, email or phone number for customer support as of now. Regards, Jess
