Even my 12 year old home theater had a optical cable for this purpose. Use the optical audio/video.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I used a cable with RCA inputs on one end and the headphone jack on the other to hook this TV up to my sound bar. It works perfectly but I don't know if this connection will fully exploit the capabilities of your Yamaha.
