4K is the newest generation of highest quality video. When TV's are classed with their vertical dimensions, that is where you see 480, 720, 1080, 2160... The 2160 is the 4K, its 2160 when measured vertically... When classed horizontally,,the number of pixels a 2160 TV would have is 3840, about 4000, or 4K...
