There's a ton of natural light in the room we've got this in and there are zero issues with brightness. In fact there's less issue with this than our LCD it replaced.

You can enable its light sensor feature to optimize the brightness according to ambient light. The ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the brightness and color of the picture based on the surrounding ambient light. To optimize the picture quality to your position in your room even more, you can connect the BRAVIA CAM CMU-BC1 (optional) which detects the distance between you and this TV, then adjusts brightness for picture quality that's optimized to your position in your room.
