Hi MauiBob, It will work if you'll enable to Headphone speaker link (since you're using a 3.5mm headphone out for the sub) and set your speaker settings to Audio system. You may check this helpful link for this kind of set up: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00049501 Thanks, Zac
