I'll be more helpful. Both LG and Sony have a setting located in the Picture setting called either Expert Panel Settings or some variation of that name. Basically, it refreshes the screen if you are noticing image retention. This process takes 2-4 hours to complete. However, I would recommend doing this refresh every 6 months or so.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I work in the Magnolia space for Best Buy so I’m around all of these OLEDs 5 Days a week 8 hours a day. Every single LG OLED we have on display from the B7 to the W has burn-in of some sort on them. The Sony however, no burn-in at all. Now there can be a couple reasons for this, most likely the content Sony displays on their TV is varied more greatly than the content LG shows on their OLED so less time of the same image being shown on the panel all day. Another possible reason could be that the LGs have been out on display longer than the Sony A1E so less hours on the Sony than LG for burn in to take place. If you still wanting OLED go Sony, much better motion, up-scaling and a ton less pixel noise than the LG OLEDs. If you’re super worried about burn-in then the Sony Z9D is where you want to be. Closest to OLED while being a LED TV or you can save a bunch of money and get the best selling TV of 2017 with the X900E from Sony.

They also use a “pixel reset” service mode to periodically recalibrate the display. I’ve used a XBox One without any issues so far. I’m sure it’s never a good for any display to be left with a static picture for days on end. I’ve noticed no burn with even hours of gamIng in one session. Hope this helps
