The update is available now for HDMI 2.1 but it's still missing the ALLM & VRR update. Beware that we don't know as of yet if the 4k 120 will be native support and so if you are concerned about that then I would hold off until the PS5 is tested on this TV. Most games for consoles will probably be locked in at 4k 60 so I don't know how much this will have an impact. Sony has said this TV pairs perfectly with the PS5 and so there should be no issues.

For X900H, the TV will support up to 48 Gbps transfer rate to support 4K120, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), and Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC) via a future firmware update. This will be supported on HDMI Input 3 and 4. Currently, we don't have an exact release date for the update. We recommend visiting our support website Sony.com from time to time for product updates and announcements. Hope this helps! -Sam
