Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. From my experience, the Atmos and any other important encoding formats can get lost when going through your TVs arc channel. For example, my PS4 refuses to do 7.1 when I'm using the ARC channel on a Sony 4k 850E TV. It could be that TV models 1+years older do not support it, while brand new OLED ones might.. But regardless, if your TV doesn't support and pass-through the encoding then ARC will now allow you to use Dolby Atmos. I ended up having to plug my devices directly into the sound bar to get atmos to work properly.
