“Hi all, if playing a Dolby atmos DVD should the screen on the front of the Sony soundbar show that it is playing atmos as mine doesn't, even though I am using a xbox 1x with the Dolby atmos app installed. Hdmi is direct to soundbar then arc to TV arc”

If your playback devices is directly connected to the Tv, and sound bar connected to TV’s ARC HDMI port. Then your Tv MUST support Dolby Atmos decoding or passthur. Otherwise you have to connected all your Dolby Atmos devices directly to the sound bar’s HDMI in order for Dolby Atmos audio format to work. This is in the user manual.
