“Does this TV contain an IPS, or a VA panel?”

• This uses a VA panel yet it doesn't mean it has no angle either. I can't tell the difference between this and the IPS in the store i bought it at.

• It is a VA panel as are all of Sony mid or high end lines. Only a few entry level Sony's are IPS.

• As far as I know, Roku does not have anything that is a stand alone Roku content player. So, no. But, it is an Android smart tv, so you can stream content from any provider thru apps available in Google's Play Store. Or even buy or rent it directly from Google. Which is nice if you have an Android phone or tablet or windows pc. If you're an Apple user, then you might not appreciate this as much. Honestly, with any smart tv you will not need Roku.
