“Will the camera record while plugged in with an AC adapter? I have a canon camera that I bought an adapter for it but it does not allow for the camera to be used while plugged in. I am wondering what this cameras features are with battery plug-ins?”

Yes this camera can run power with a battery instead from the included usb camera plugged in
