The time has already been set at the factory. I read the owners manual cause my clock had lost about 6 minutes at some point in the 2 years I had mine.

You need to read the instructions to set the clock and the alarms. It is not as simple as pressing a few buttons without reading the instructions on how to do it. I had trouble trying to set it without reading the instructions. Upon reading and following the instructions, I had no trouble setting either the time or the alarms. If you did follow the instructions and still had trouble, you need to contact Sony for help.
