“I just admitted my mother to a nursing home and they only have co axial connection.Her tv that I brought in only has hdmi and see can't see and has no closed caption.Is there something I can buy that has coaxial on one end and hdmi on the other”

Hi bows, Most of the Sony Blu-ray players uses HDMI for TV connection, it won't work with coaxial as it transmits high definition signal. If you are looking for a coaxial disc player, there are Sony DVD players that support coaxial connection.
