Hi Rogue, this Bluray player is not capable of playing content/movies with native-4K resolution. It only enhances the resolution of non-4K movies to near 4K quality. Additionally, streaming is only available in full HD. If you need a 4K player, we recommend the UBP-X800 or the UBP-X700, both can play 4K movies from discs and stream in 4K provided that you have a 4K TV. Thanks, -Mark
