I believe the "Ultra" in the name now just means that the option of HDR or High Dynamic Range is possible if all the devices are properly set up. Just know that Blu-ray Discs are different format than DVD's in the format of say just UHD. The higher priced DVD players would most likely be able to play the most kinds of DVD formats
