“Could you use the blu ray player without a cable connection? Want to use in guest bedroom. Is it possible to connect blu ray player to tv and just access the Wi-Fi. Or dies it need to run through a cable connection to work? Thanks”

I'm not sure that you could use it just from your wifi. Unless, you had Netflix or Hulu or some type of show coming in from wifi.
