I'm not sure what Sony DVD version you have, but go to Sony's website & look up the device on their website & it will go into more detail what your DVD can & can't do. Most of the newer DVD players have a USB input which will allow a persons personal data, picts, music, films, etc a way for that media to be seen with the DVD / Media player device.

However, unlike a computer, tablet, or mobile device, the Blu-ray Disc player doesn't allow apps to be manually added.
