• The Sony Streaming 4K Upscaling Wi-Fi Built-In Blu-ray Player does not convert 2D content in to 3D content.

• Ignoring the question of whether you display can handle 3D input, the fact is that the S6700 can, indeed, create simulated 3D from a 2D movie. I own a third-party-modified region-free S6700, and it includes 3D "conversion". See page 24 of your user manual.

• My oled tv converts ANY content to "2d-to-3d". I dont think many sony Tvs do that feature. But understand that movies not filmed in 3D will not give the true 3d experience as a movie that was shot in 3D would.
