  • QuestionIs there a way to loop a DVD on this device? I am looking to run the same DVD all day for my business. When the video finishes, I would like to have it restart automatically, can this machine do this?

    • Answer Hi Reginleif, We appreciate your interest in the BDP-S1700 for your business needs! You can certainly loop a DVD by using the Repeat function found under the Options menu during playback, which allows the player to automatically restart the title or chapter indefinitely. For a seamless all-day display, we also recommend adjusting the "Auto Standby" setting to ensure the player remains active as long as you need it. Thanks for choosing Sony.  Best regards, Eliab

The player is compatible with the following disc formats: DVDs: It can play standard DVD-ROM, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, and DVD+RW discs. CDs: It can play standard audio CDs (CD-DA), as well as CD-ROM and CD-R/RW discs. Important Notes: Finalization: For recorded DVDs and CDs (DVD-R/RW, CD-R/RW) to play, they must be correctly "finalized" on the device they were recorded on. Disc Condition: Please be aware that the playability of some discs may vary depending on the disc type, condition, and version. Discs That Cannot Be Played: The following discs are not supported by this player: BDXL discs DVD-RAMs HD DVDs DVD Audio discs Super VCDs Discs recorded in a color system other than NTSC (such as PAL).
