HI Chris,

The BRAVIA Theater Rear 8 speakers (SA-RS8) are not compatible with your older HT-3000 soundbar. For your current SA-RS volume issue, please try raising the individual rear speaker levels using the Rear speaker volume +/- button on your HT-3000 remote or navigating to the Speaker Settings then Level menu; if the volume remains too low after adjustment, please contact Sony Product Support at https://us.esupport.sony.com/support/s/support-contact?language=en_US.
