Yes. You would run your speaker wires from the amp to the sub then out to the speakers. The cutoff control on the back then allows you to strip off the high frequencies that the sub does not use and let's the other speakers handle the higher frequencies.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Dennie, Yes, you can use the SPEAKER IN terminal of the subwoofer to connect a receiver. You may refer to the link below under "Hooking Up the System" for more information: https://docs.sony.com/release//SACS9.pdf Regards, ~Ralph
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you sure can it has it own amp and u connect the receiver to it and it also sounds amazing
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You could try that but if the receiver doesn't have a subwoofer connection then, I don't think you will get the desired sound. I have a Sony small bookshelf system for several years. It doesn't have a sub connection. When I hooked up a subwoofer to it, the sound wasn't what a sub would produce. I have a Denon with a subwoofer connection and it sounds great. I would buy a receiver with a subwoofer connection. I hope this helps.
