Actually you can't with most stereo receivers - you need to have an AV receiver that has the connection ports to use it.

Thanks for your inquiry. You can connect the speaker to the speaker output terminals of a Sony A/V receiver that supports speaker impedance of 6 ohms. Standard speaker wires are also needed for connection. However, you may not get the sound you are looking for as the SSCS8 is built for center channel because it is a 2-way 3-driver speaker.
