These have big holes, so you're able to use thick speaker cable - the thicker the better for speakers according to many technical sources. 10-gauge is sold by the foot at Home Depot and Lowes for a great price. That is what I use in a reference system. You can simply remove the coating off the last half inch of wire with a knife or tool, twist the braids a little, and insert.

We recommend using speaker wires that are anywhere between 12 to 16 gauge are most commonly used for connecting speakers to an amplifier or an Audio/Video (A/V) receiver. This SSCS5 has rated impedance of 6 ohms. Please take note that matching speakers and subwoofer with lower impedance (ohms) and watts than what the A/V receiver is rated may cause damage to the receiver and is not recommended. At first listen, these new Core Series speakers will make your favorite audio tracks unfold throughout your listening environment, thanks to precise instrument reproduction, positioning, and even depth relative to an expansive soundstage. Hope this helps. ~Earl
