Short answer no long answer yes with a but. because the speaker wires on the CMT-SBT100 speakers that come with the unit are terminated in a proprietary connection they will not work since these use standard speaker wire. That being said if you are handy at splicing, and don't mind sacrificing the speakers that came with your bookshelf receiver you can splice standard wire into the wire coming out of the proprietary connector and it should work since these are fairly efficient speakers.
