Your speakers typically don’t have a problem being hooked up to a standard receiver. However, you want to do your best to make sure the RMS Is close to being measured to the amount of watts per channel your receiver is able to produce. For instance, if your speakers are 50 watts rms and your receiver is 165 watts per channel like my receiver is, I wouldn’t recommend using those type of speakers because you won’t be able to have it at a reasonable volume without the risk of your speakers to blow out or have too much distortion. Check the output of your receiver and the rms on your speakers and go from there. Any brand speaker should work with any brand receiver unless it’s a brand like Bose, then you’d have to have the speakers match the receiver itself on that front. I hope what I said helps and good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Steve, The dimensions of the SSCS5 (width/height/depth) is approximately 178 × 335 × 220 mm (7 1/8 in. × 13 1/4 in. × 8 3/4 in.), including the front grille. And the weight is approximately 4.5 kg (9 lb. 14 oz.) including the front grille. If your AV receiver supports a speaker with Rated impedance of 6 ohms or higher then the speaker should work. -Sam
