The battery in the camera seems to hold a charge from the USB port. If you have access to a laptop or a AC adapter to USB outlet so you can recharge direct from an AC outlet, I think you'll be fine. I'm new to using this camera, but depending on how much video you shoot versus pictures you take, I think the manual gives you an approximate number of hours you'll likely be able to use the camera with a single full charge of the battery. Hi Dayanara2131, battery life depends on how you use the camera. To be safe, you may bring with you 2 or 3 extra batteries (NP-BN). This camera is supplied with an AC adapter for charging in case you run out of batteries. Thanks, -Mark
