The date prints automaticallly if in the JPG mode. If in the JPG/RAW or RAW only,, no date is printed on the image. That, at least, has been my experience with my RX100M2

Please try again later.Please refer to page 21-22 of your manual if you have one (or if you don't you can download it from the Internet): In the "Still shooting menu" of the Menu items, you can choose "Write Date" function and set to record a shooting date on the still image.
