A:AnswerHi Cisco, no. This unit can only play DVDs. If you want a device that can play both, we recommend our Blu-ray players such as our BDPS6700 or the UBPX700. Regards, -Mark
A:Answeryes I believe so. we use it in a business and remotes get lost easily, so we do not use them on the regular, so our clients have to be able to use it with out the remote.
