- Answer I hope you have an answer by now! What I do is use the TV remote to move the TV to AV. Then I activate the DVD player. Hope this helps or makes it easier from what you have been doing for 2 months.

- Answer I DO NOT THINK IT DOES BECAUSE OF THE SPEED OF THE DVD PLAYER, AND THE WAY IT READS THE DISC. . THERE ARE OTHER VARIATIONS AS TO WHY IT POSSIBLY WILL NOT PLAY GERMAN DVDS'. I HAVE NOT TRIED THAT. I AM SORRY I COULDN'T BE OF MORE HELP. GOOD LUCK.

QuestionWe have Comcast cable and our TV automatically seeks the HD channel for a particular chosen channel. Does this DVD player have to run on channel 3 like the older ones or will it play regardless of the channel. Our TV seeks the HD channel for channel 3.

- Answer I have the same question and it seems there is a difference between subtitle and closed captioning which most people confuse with each other.. https://www.matinee.co.uk/blog/closed-captions-vs-subtitles-and-why-the-difference-is-important/ However, these lengthy explanations go above the heads of most of us. The simple question is if a movie marked as closed-captioned (such as many on TCM) is copied from cable then will the DVD player show the captions?
