Does this cd player play blue ray discs as well null

I believe it does because it plays all my mother DVD'S.

Hi Bethany, No. This is a DVD player and will only play CDs and DVDs. You may want to check out these Sony Blu-ray players instead: BDP-S1700, BDP-S6700, BDP-S3700 or UBP-X700. Regards, Vincent
