“How do you turn off the subtitles I’m not using an HDMI cable”

• Turning off the subtitles has nothing to do with the HDMI. After loading the disc go the recorder menu and follow the directions.

• Subtitles don't have anything to do with an HDMI cable. That just sends the video and audio signal to the TV. I'm not where I can look at it, but you will either have to go through the menu to turn or subtitles or there may even be a button on the remote that toggles through subtitle options.
