• Hello, I've just tested this on mine and unfortunately Extra Bass does not work in wired mode; but still these headphones rock. In fact, I purchased another pair for myself since the first was a Christmas gift for my niece. Personally, I would totally recommend you getting these headphones, especially because the sound is well balanced, rich, and powerful.

• No, after some research myself, Sony indicates that you cannot use the Bass Boost when wired.

• Yes you can. The only time you can't use the extra bass is if the batteries are dead or it's turned off.
