Does anyone know if Best Buy will restock this item? null

I was told yesterday, after numerous inquiries that no stores in CT, MA or NY had yet received units. Today, I saw "sold out" online. Again, after finally reaching an actual person in customer service today, they offered some polite doublespeak, and finally admitted that a release on 11/5/18, did not necessarily translate into availability to retail purchasers as yet. Interesting, especially as the West Hartford store claimed that the number of units to be received, well exceeded any preorders for that location. An underwhelming effort and communication thus far from corporate (at least the actual retail store, they tried). I hope the product is worth the effort.

Best buy should at least offer “PRE ORDER”. BHPhoto offer this. I’m just getting it through BB because of the best buy card. So I don’t have to use another card since it’s not a cheap purchase. I know that this is out if BB’s control. But at least communicate with your big suppliers since you are also their online and local retailers.

They will, it’s a hot lens so it’s sold out everywhere

They are rarely restocking what it seems 1 at a time and then quickly gone. I was able to Order one 2 months ago. Then it showed as back ordered, but after 1 month of wait it got shipped. Patience to the extreme on this one... Yet it is worth it, best lens in the collection now.
