Your games should still work on ps4. The ps5 will not “digitize” them. I hope I helped =)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes-but this is tricky for digital games and you will need to transfer across your PlayStation account
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you will still have access to the game on Ps4 in it's Ps4 version variant. Some (likely a high majority) Ps4 games will get a Ps5 version that will range anywhere from a simple version update to a major optimization patch. This version may or may not include things such as: optimization of the Ps5 hardware utilization specifically, higher resolutions outputs (4k/8k), new higher res in game graphical textures, real time ray tracing, HDR, support for higher native refresh rates (120fps), added support for new DualSense Ps5 controller features, etc. (think of it like the special editions of games that released later for ps4 from ps3, like Skyrim, or The Last of Us) So far there are no guarantees all digital ps4 games will get a Ps5 version, and fewer still will receive an outright "upgrade". (this is largely game developer dependent) But we can assume most if not all of the top games will be headed to Ps5, as there have been many already announced. All Ps4 discs should also play on the Ps5 as expected if you purchase the Non Digital Only version. And even without major overhauls, games that do make it to Ps5 will automatically benefit from the hardware. Regardless if it is optimized or not. (load times in particular should be noticeably quicker than ps4) These are my opinions and conclusions based off of my personal research and findings through the various media coverage so far. I believe them to be logical and true, but admit I cannot claim absolute certainty.
