A:AnswerYou should be able to, but safest bet is to use the cable that came with the console, if you use any aftermarket cable it could cause damage to the controller because of how it's wired internally.

A:AnswerUnfortunately replacing the controller is the only option. And be careful what you're using to charge because we had a charger that killed our controllers... over a few months they would hold less and less charge and then just wouldn't hold a charge at all.

A:AnswerLook for CUH-ZCT2U. Visually, you can tell because the back side of the controller will match or closely resemble the front of the controller. i.e. Old controller --> Red front, black in the back. New Controller --> red in the front, slightly lighter shade of red in the back.
