It is not recommended to use it on Public wifi such has a Hotel, Mcdonalds, or any public wifi. This wifis are shared and will loose speed depending on all devices connected. It best to use it on Private wifi such as your homes wifi.

Sony recommends 15MB down. Which isn't too much but stability I find it more important than up/down. I wouldn't trust Hotel internet but mileage may vary. Probably better off using your phone as a hotspot.

PlayStation says at least 5 Mbps. I believe most current Wi-Fi providers produce speeds over.
