How long does the battery last on a full charge? I need it for HS sports. null

I record all my daughters' college soccer games. It usually lasts more than half of the game which is 45 minutes. I have never ran the battery down to zero, I just switch batteries at half time.
So if the game lasts more than an hour make sure you have 2 batteries if you can't plug in directly to an outlet.

For me, this depends on resolution of picture you choose and how quickly you are taking pictures. If the camera gets to rest and only a few picrues are taken at a time the battery lasts a very long time. If you are taking shots at high resolution and/or many shots in succession or video the battery will not last very long. Also depends on how old the battery is. I probably can get 2000 pictures with general use, but when expecting to take a lot of picutres I will get a fresh battery and take along two extras -- I don't want to miss the mother cheetah with her cubs because the battery is exhausted1
